SUMMARY

The Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the annual fundraising plan. Reporting to the President, the Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, stewarding and soliciting individuals, foundations, corporations and churches to achieve revenue goals to enable Hope Walks to achieve its mission.  The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial attitude, be a self-starter, and be passionate about the mission of Hope Walks.  This is a full-time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create an annual development and marketing strategic plan to build a network of partners who will financially invest in the work of Hope Walks.

Identify and cultivate new sources of potential contributions and sponsorships, tracking data in the donor database and establishing a plan for engagement to secure investments.

Analyze all opportunities for funding partnerships (high-net worth individuals, corporate partnerships, capital campaigns, planned giving, matching gifts, etc.) and implement those that will provide the best return for the organization.  

Compassionately communicate the needs and serve as a representative of Hope Walks that conveys the mission and vision of the organization.

Develop and foster relationships with current and prospective partners in a way that builds meaningful, long term partnerships and expresses Hope Walks’ genuine desire to partner together.

Develop and manage a system for effective ongoing communication with current and prospective partners.

Prepare proposals and presentations to share the work of Hope Walks with partners.

Prepare reports to inform partners of the outcomes of their investments in the work of Hope Walks.

Work closely with the President to provide accurate revenue reports and forecasts that align with the needs of the organization.

Accompany partners on international trips to Hope Walks’ programs. (2 to 3 per year)

Build the capacity of Hope Walks’ board of directors, leadership, and current partners to effectively share the work of the organization and empower them to generate more partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or Non-Profit Leadership

4+ years of fundraising, sales, grants management, or other relevant professional experience

Personal faith in Christ and commitment to the mission of Hope Walks

Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising and experience in cultivating and building partnerships

Exceptional written and oral communication skills – including the ability to clearly convey and incite passion

Strong organizational skills, time management, and strategic thinking

Excellent knowledge of common technology: Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Blackbaud

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 75 days per year)

Experience with an international compassion ministry preferred

Established connections with individuals of high worth or foundations

SUMMARY

The Administrative Coordinator will work out of the Dillsburg, PA headquarters that provides support to Hope Walks’ national clubfoot programs throughout the world.  He/She will provide administrative support to the President, other U.S.-based staff, and the Regional Program Leadership team. The ideal candidate will need to take initiative and be task-oriented in order to provide optimal support to the organization.  This position will report to the President. This is a part-time position of 20-25 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage office phone calls and general email inquiries

Implement and maintain standard processes at Hope Walks US headquarters and throughout global operations to produce effective outcomes

Support the President with administrative tasks, meeting minutes and organizational processes as assigned

Manage the office logistics and supplies

Assist in the electronic and paper filing systems to provide organizational efficiency

Research and complete data entry in support of the Hope Walks team, including but not limited to assisting with international documentation, processing proposals and reports and maintaining databases

Assist with travel arrangements to include travel visas, transportation arrangements and accommodations

Coordinate Board meeting preparation, scheduling, and meeting logistics

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred

3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work independently and take initiative on self-started projects

Excellent knowledge of common technology: Microsoft Office, Google Drive

Past experience with non-profit or ministry organization preferred

SUMMARY

The Grants Coordinator will research, write proposals, and manage grants for Hope Walks’ global programs.  He/She will liaise with operations, development, and marketing to create comprehensive proposals and follow-up reports that professionally represent Hope Walks.  The ideal candidate will have a self-starter personality that is very motivated to see the work of Hope Walks grow. This part-time position will report to the Regional Director and will work closely with Operations and the national programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Research and identify available grant opportunities and consult with the Operations team for viability

Prepare grant proposals coordinating organizational needs with the goals and vision of the Operations team and President  

Manage the reporting requirements and follow up process for awarded grants

Monitor the outcomes of the funded programs throughout the life cycle of the grant by keeping relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and milestones

Meet or exceed fundraising goals within the grants portfolio

Develop strategies with headquarters and program staff to advance Hope Walks’ grants program

Understand the organization’s monitoring and evaluation strategy and routinely stay informed of the Key Performance Indicators that measure each program’s outcomes

Maintain the grants database, ensuring a timely and accurate record keeping process is kept for clear and continuous reporting cycles across the organization

Travel to Hope Walks’ programs to monitor the implementation of grants activities and research program needs (1 time per year)

Liaise with national program staff and support them in the identification, preparation and submission of possible in-country grant opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Writing, or other related field

2 to 4 years of professional experience in grants management

Personal faith in Christ and commitment to the mission of Hope Walks

Exceptional written and oral communication skills – including the ability to clearly convey and incite passion

Strong organizational skills and ability to adhere to and meet strict project timelines

Ability to work independently and take initiative to achieve optimal results

Excellent knowledge of common technology: Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Etapestry and other grant research tools like Foundation Center

Past experience with an international non-profit or ministry preferred
