COVID & Clubfoot ? Stories from the front lines

What do you do in the middle of a global pandemic that shuts down clubfoot clinics and transportation to those clinics? Bring the clinic to the patients, of course!

Hope Walks partner clinics in Honduras have been shut down since almost the first COVID-19 case was diagnosed in the country months ago. The clubfoot clinic in Santa Barbara was concerned about its patients and the delay in treatment brought on by the pandemic. They thought, if the patients can?t come to us, why not go to them. And that?s exactly what they did.?

The first mobile clinic took place in the village of Illama where they saw five patients. Making the clinic mobile allowed patients from other close villages to easily walk to receive treatment. One of the patients, Genesis, visited the mobile clinic with her grandfather.
