UC Berkeley parking lots open to the public for $0.50 per half hour are located at the following intersections:

• Scenic and Hearst (closest to check-in)
• La Loma and Hearst
• Bowditch and Bancroft
• Ellsworth and Bancroft

Sunday, October 26, 2008
1pm           pre-walk check in & day-of registration
2pm           opening ceremony and walk begins
2:30pm      post-walk activities for all ages

3:30pm      closing ceremony

A model exhibit of one of the Hope Walks East Bay beneficiaries, the peanut butter-based nutrition project wth HEAL Africa in Goma DR Congo, will be open all day on the First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley campus. Please come by before or after the walk to learn about the process, participate in making samples, and see presentations on the difference that this nutritional supplement can make in the lives of children.

Details

• During check-in, you will receive a profile of a child benefiting from Hope Walks East Bay that you will be walking for.
• The walk is a scenic 1.5-5K walk through the campus of UC Berkeley.  Wheelchair and stroller friendly. 
• Post-walk activities will include games, refreshments, fellowship, and educational exhibits to learn more about the lives of the children we are walking for. You will also have the opportunity to write a letter to a child cared for by Children of Grace, one of the beneficiaries of Hope Walks East Bay.
• Walk will take place rain or shine
• *no pets, please
